- 998 NE - Logain is taken in a procession through Caemlyn as proof of his capture.
- 998 NE - Rand, in an attempt to get a view of Logain, climbs and falls to the other side of Caemlyn's palace walls and meets Elayne, Gawyn, and Galad. He is taken before Queen Morgase and Elaida before being released.
- 998 NE - Rand is reunited with Moiraine and the rest of the group at his inn. Moiraine heals Mat of his link to the ruby-hilted dagger.
