Aisha Raveneos was an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah.
Appearance and Personality[]
She was stout and had soft, brown eyes. She was a plain-faced woman who wore wore a wealth of jewelry, earrings with large firedrops, long necklaces of both emeralds and rubies, but only the golden Great Serpent for a finger ring".[1]
She was reputed to "adhere to the strictest letter of the law no matter her own feelings, whether pity or contempt".[2]
Strength[]
With a level of 14(2), she was very strong in the One Power for an Aes Sedai.[3]
History[]
She was born in the year 698 NE and went to the Tower in 714 NE. After spending seven years as Novice and six as Accepted she was raised to the shawl in the year 727 NE. In this respect she mirrors Meilyn Arganya, as they were born in the same year, went to the Tower in the same year, spent the same number of years as novice and accepted, and were raised to the shawl in the same year, both were also among the strongest of sisters when raised.
Her name indicates that she was an Illianer, although the one line of dialogue she has in the books does not show an obvious Illianer accent.[1]
She was one of the women chosen to be Tamra Ospenya's Searchers for the Dragon Reborn(in this respect she also mirror Meilyn Arganya). She was the second woman to whom Tamra sends a letter.[2]
Prior to Moiraine Damodred's test for the shawl, Moiraine has a lesson with her in which she is closely questioned on the differences in the structure of law in Shienar and Amadicia.[4]
She was supposedly killed by bandits in Murandy, though in actual fact she was assassinated by the Black Ajah.[2][3] Aisha was 280 years old when she died, making her one of the oldest Aes Sedai we know of.
