Aldieb is a white mare belonging to Moiraine Sedai.[1] Her name means West Wind in the Old Tongue, the wind that brings the spring rains.[2] She is described as very graceful. She has been ridden to and from many places. She has been to the Two Rivers[1], Shadar Logoth[3], Caemlyn[4], the Ways [5], Fal Dara[6], the Blight[7], the Eye of the World[8], Ghealdan[9], Illian[10], Tear, the Aiel Waste, Rhuidean[11], Jangai Pass[12], and Cairhien[13]. Following Moiraine's disappearance and presumed death, she was stabled indefinitely at the Sun Palace.[14]
