Ayako Norsoni is an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah.[1]

Appearance and Personality[]

She is small, about 5'2" or 158 cm tall, with waist-length black hair, black eyes, and a dark complexion, but not so dark as a Domani. Her dark eyes seems almost black when she is concentrating.

Ayako prided herself on her logic, but she was not a particularly cool-appearing woman, being rather on the merry side, with a twinkle in her eyes, although she seemed shy, a rarity among Aes Sedai.

Strength and Abilities[]

Ayako is high average strength for an Aes Sedai, with a One Power level of 18(6). She is stronger than the minimum stated strength needed to Travel.

Activities[]

She remained loyal to the White Tower during the Schism. ty, the White Ajah insisting on at least one representative. As such, she is not Black Ajah.[1]

They are all captured and bonded by the Asha'man. Ayako is bonded to Donalo Sandomere.[1] She blames Toveine for the failure of the expedition. She took part in beating Toveine and it disturbed her that she had. It was an irrational thing to do that she tried to tell herself, but it felt so right.[2]

She Travels with Sandomere and Logain Ablar to Tear to find Rand al'Thor. She takes part in the battle against the Trollocs that attack Algarin Pendaloan's manor. She is then part of the group that burns all the bodies left behind afterwards.

She watches Rand's meeting with the Daughter of the Nine Moons from a distance and Travels in as backup when it is revealed that the supposed Daughter of the Nine Moons is actually Semirhage.

At the Black Tower both Ayako and Sandomere have been turned to the Shadow. During the Last Battle they fight at the Field of Merrilor with several other Darkfriend Asha'man and sisters of the Black Ajah, including its head, Alviarin Freidhen. Through a clever trap designed by Androl Genhald and Pevara Tazanovni, they are lured into an Ogier stedding, Stedding Sholoon, and taken captive.
