Barthanes Damodred was High Seat of House Damodred and was cousin to Laman Damodred.

Appearance

He was slim, handsome and tall for a Cairhienin, no more than half a head shorter than Rand al'Thor who is 6'6" or 198 cm. He had black eyes and slightly greying hair. His voice is deep and sure. During the party Rand attends in Cairhien, he wears a deep grey coat with multihued stripes on the front from his neck almost to the hem just above his knees. These would likely be in House Damodred's red, green and white.

History

His personal seal is the charging boar.

He was Laman Damodred's cousin. His exact age is not known.

On Laman's death in 978 NE, he became the High Seat of House Damodred.{{||comp}}

Activities

Barthanes invites Rand to one of his parties and tries to find out where Rand's loyalties lie and if he supports King Galldrian Riatin and his project of digging up the male Choedan Kal. He had a waygate within his estate. He was a Darkfriend and passes a message from Padan Fain to Rand about meeting each other on Toman Head. He was found torn to pieces in his bedroom after the party at his house, presumably by the then unnamed gholam.
