A bloodsnake is a large brown snake of the Aiel Waste.

A bloodsnake can be as thick as a man's forearm and three paces in length. Its bite turns the blood of its victim to jelly in minutes. A widely known Wise One named Mora died in this way at age 300.[1]
The Aiel eat the meat of a bloodsnake, cooked in such dishes as a spicy stew of dried peppers and beans containing chunks of the bloodsnake's nearly white meat and served with a flat pale bread.[2]
