Brendas is an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah.
Appearance and Personality[]
She is pale with cool, dark eyes, and a voice like chimes. She never shows any emotion and speaks in a level tone.
Strength and Abilities[]
Brendas has a One Power strength level of 16(4), making her strong for an Aes Sedai. This is strong enough to be able to Travel. She is the second strongest of the White Ajah among the Rebel Aes Sedai of which we have information, only Carlinya Sorevin being stronger and Bernaile Gelbarn her equal.[1]
History[]
Brendas is 54 years old. She was born in 946 NE and went to the Tower in 963 NE. After twelve years as novice and ten as Accepted she was raised to the shawl in the year 985 NE.
She was an Accepted during the Aiel War. She and Temaile were on duty attending Tamra Ospenya, the Amyrlin Seat, and Gitara Moroso, her Keeper, before Moiraine and Siuan’s shift on the day Gitara has her Foretelling.[2]
Like most Whites, Brendas has no Warder.
It is interesting that Brendas is counted among the trustworthy Aes Sedai by Siuan and Egwene. She was included in the circle that healed Mat Cauthon; and she was included in the forces of the Light during the Battle against the Black Ajah in Tel'aran'rhiod.
Activities[]
She was part of the circle that Healed Matrim Cauthon from the taint of Shadar Logoth.[3]
She has allied herself with the Salidar Aes Sedai.[4]
While in Salidar, she questions Nynaeve al'Meara on her progress with her block and seems to think she has the best plan for breaking it down, so Nynaene's marvelous "discoveries" can continue.[4]
She is writing in the Little Tower when Nynaeve asks her where to find Siuan and Leane. Nynaeve thinks that she is one of the few Aes Sedai to have never asked her about Rand. Nynaeve also thinks Brendas is the only Aes Sedai to be completely emotionless.[4]
Brendas was participating in a fake convention in Tel'aran'riod (formally to discuss important matters but really an attempt to expose and attire the Black Ajah), when the Black Sisters attacked.
Brendas was told to wake but couldn't leave due to Perrin Aybara bringing the Dreamspike over Tar Valon. So, she briefly participated in the Battle in Tel'aran'rhiod until Amys took her out of the Dreamworld with the order to wake up the others to get them away from danger.[5]
