Calling Lightning is a weave associated with the Talent in weather, also known as Cloud Dancing. This weave uses Fire and Air. Calling lightning is a very easy task, even channelers who are poor at manipulating the weather can call lightning with ease.
Examples of use[]
The first occurrence of this weave is found when Rand and Mat are cornered in an inn by Darkfriends. Rand uses lightning to break a hole in the wall while eliminating the threat of the Darkfriends. When he pulls Mat from the wreckage, he notes that there is not a single cloud in the sky.[verify]
This is likely the second time that Rand uses the One Power; the first being when he used a refresh weave on Bela.
Nynaeve al'Meara makes use of this weave multiple times as a defensive mechanism.
