Caressing the Child is a weave, related to Healing, used to test the health of an unborn child and the mother, and can be used to cure some problems of either. It will only work on a pregnant woman. The weave works best if the one it is being used on is very warm, and causes her to feel as though her body is humming. The weave is known by the Wise Ones, who claim to have known about it since before the Aiel were sent to the Threefold Land. Monaelle uses this weave on Elayne and also teaches it to Sumeko Karistovan. The weave uses Spirit, Fire, and Earth.[1]
