Darin is an Aiel from the Moshaine Shaido. He is a Stone Dog. His father was Maeric.
When his clan begin to jump through a Gateway provided by "Cadder", he holds the rear guard position. The Gateway suddenly snaps shut cutting him off from the rest of his clan.
