Deindre was an Aes Sedai of the Age of Legends who had the Foretelling.
Appearance[]
She was dark eyed.
History[]
After Lews Therin Telamon's death, during the first days of the Breaking of the World, Deindre had a Foretelling that the Da'shain Aiel would be crucial to the salvation of the world.[1] Thus, Deindre's vision is one of several that formed the basis for the Prophecies of the Dragon that would come to dominate the hopes and fears of the subsequent Age.
She appears in Rand's seventh vision in the ter'angreal of Rhuidean. She is present in one of the rooms of the Hall of Servants with half a dozen female Aes Sedai, including Oselle and Solinda, planning over Callandor and the Dragon Banner.
“That one [who will lead the Aiel] will come later,” she said. “The stone that never falls will fall to announce his coming. Of the blood, but not raised by the blood, he will come from Rhuidean at dawn, and tie you together with bonds you cannot break. He will take you back, and he will destroy you.”

Making the Eye of the World[]
Deindre might have been part of the group of Aes Sedai who died creating the Eye of the World. The particulars of her death are not known, only that those who made the Eye died in the act. Jonai's memories indicate that Callandor was taken care after the Dragon Banner. "The sword must wait."[1] Also, Callandor was set in the Stone of Tear, also with the use of both saidin and saidar. The chronological order of these events are not known, and neither are the identities of the Aes Sedai who participated in either event.
Trivia[]
It is tempting to think that Deindre was also one of the by-then-ancient Aes Sedai who is seen in Rand's first vision. Mandein's internal thoughts describe one of them as "dark dark eyed" and she seems to Foretell the coming of the Car'a'carn as part of the Prophecy of Rhuidean.[2] However, in interviews Robert Jordan later stated that she was not one of the Aes Sedai at Rhuidean.[3]. Also, too much time passed between the two visions' events, even for an Aes Sedai.
