Dumai's Wells is a watering hole of little note most known for the Battle of Dumai's Wells that took place there in the last days of 999 NE.
Location and Description[]
The oasis consisted of three stone wells in a small copse. It is located just off the road more than halfway from Cairhien to Tar Valon, four days from the next available water source at Alianelle Spring. Its surroundings are described by Gawyn Trakand as rolling terrain with scattered bunches of trees whose long ridges and low hills were not quite so low as they seemed.

"Dumai's Wells" (لشيخ ابريق) is a place in Israel close to Megiddo and Nazareth. Megiddo is referred to twelve times in the Old Testament and once in the book of Revelation under its Greek name, Armageddon. Jordan was likely drawing from this association when he picked the name of a place that is commonly believed to be the site of a great battle prior to the Second Coming of Christ.
