Elspeth Mecandes is a Cairhienin noblewoman.
History[]
She is the daughter of Lord Barris and Lady Holleen Mecandes, the latter of whom is the head of the largest Darkfriend cell in Cairhien. She is also the niece of Cabriana Mecandes, an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, and thus serves as part of the Ajah's eyes-and-ears network.
Lady Elspeth vanishes during the period when Berelain sur Paendrag Paeron is appointed Steward of the Dragon in Cairhien. She was later freed, and learned of her mother's true allegiances to the Shadow.[1]
