Faeldrin Harella was an Aes Sedai from the Green Ajah.
Appearance and Abilities[]
She has cool eyes and thin braids in her dark hair adorned with colored beads.[1][2] She is 5'4" or 163 cm in height.[3]
Strength and Abilities[]
Faeldrin is strong for an Aes Sedai, with a strength of 16(4).[3]
Merana Ambrey feels particularly self-conscious about her ranking in the Salidar Embassy to the Dragon Reborn, even though she is its appointed leader. Faeldrin, Masuri Sokawa and Rafela Cindal are the three strongest sisters in the group.[1] She is strong enough to Travel.
History[]
Faeldrin was born in Tarabon in 937 NE.[3]
In 952 NE, she enrolled at the White Tower as a novice. She spent five years as a novice and five as Accepted. She was raised to the Green Ajah in 962 NE.[3]
She has three Warders.[4]
Activities[]
After the White Tower schism she allied herself with the Salidar Aes Sedai.
She was part of the Salidar delegation sent to greet Rand al'Thor in Caemlyn.[5]According to Min, Faeldrin was upset that Dragonsworn had committed atrocities in her native Tarabon, as well as Altara and Murandy. She also tended to blame Dragonsworn for the chaos in Tarabon, even though it had been affected by civil war before the Dragonsworn came. After the delegation dissolved she accompanied Bera Harkin and Kiruna Nachiman to meet Rand in Cairhien after he flees Andor.[1]
She met up with the Two Rivers folks who then head to and then fight in the Battle of Dumai's Wells. Afterwards she was forced to swear fealty to Rand.[6]
She intended to keep her Oaths to the best of her ability, but could not stand up to Cadsuane.
She was part of Rand's embassy when he meets with the Sea Folk and makes the Bargain.[7]
Faeldrin and the other sworn sisters stayed for a time in Cairhien under the care of the Aiel Wise Ones.[8]
In Far Madding Rand told Alanna to bring Faeldrin and some of the other to Haddon Mirk to start a negotiation with the rebels there.[9]
Alanna went to Tear with Faeldrin, Merana, Bera, and Rafela.[10] They are able to find an agreement, in fact the rebels have agreed to end the rebellion if Rand will restore their land and titles and make Darlin king of Tear.[11]
Kiruna and Faeldrin were killed at Shayol Ghul by Hessalam while in a circle with Damer Flinn, Sarene Nemdahl and Aviendha at the Last Battle.[12]
Viewings[]
Min Farshaw sees her in Rand's hand along with four other Aes Sedai, and then interprets the viewing for him: all five will keep their word.[7][9]
