The Fateful Concord was an agreement between Latra Posae Decume and the female Aes Sedai with great power to stand opposed to Lews Therin Telamon's plan to reseal the Bore, and instead support a plan to defeat the Shadow with the Choedan Kal and to erect a temporary barrier around the Bore. As a result, no female Aes Sedai joined Lews Therin and the Hundred Companions when they marched on Shayol Ghul. Rand Al'Thor speculated that if both halves of the True Source had been used to make the Seal, the taint on the male half might not have occurred.
