Fergansea was a nation of the Free Years.[1] It was founded after the Trolloc Wars, located in the territory formerly belonging to Essenia. During the War of the Hundred Years its former territories were split between three kingdoms, Illian, Maredo, and Tear.
Geography[]
Fergansea was bordered by the River Manetherendrelle to the west, the Sea of Storms to the south, the River Erinin to the east, and the Plains of Maredo to the north. Its neighbors were Shiota to the west, Esandara to the north, and Moreina to the east.
It is unclear where Fergansea's capital was located or what it was called: Tear was in Moreina, and Fel Moreina (as Far Madding was then called) was to the north in Esandara. Maps of the area are unclear on if the city of Illian was in Fergansea or neighboring Shiota.
History[]
We know very little of Fergansea's history, save that it was conquered by the false Dragon Guaire Amalasan during the War of the Second Dragon and then annexed some years later by the growing Empire of Artur Hawkwing. During the War of the Hundred Years attempts were made to reestablish Fergansea, but instead its former territories were split between the burgeoning nations of Illian in the west, Maredo in the center and north, and Tear in the east.
Fergansea fought occasional naval battles with Moreina to the east, some of them extensive in size, indicating that the animosity between what are now Illian and Tear stretched back a long time prior to Artur Hawkwing's day.
