The glass columns are ter'angreals found in Rhuidean.

Use
When entered, an Aiel man will experience the lives of some of the Aiel's oldest ancestors, learning the true origin of the warring race. Normally, only men chosen to become clan chiefs or women about to become Wise One's are allowed to enter Rhuidean to experience this. Even when the barrier protecting the city broke and the Aiel started enter the city freely, entrance through the columns is still prohibited to those not permitted.
