Harriet Rigney is Robert Jordan's widow and sometime editor. Much of his characterization of female inhabitants of the Westlands comes directly from his views about his wife.[1]

After her husband's death she oversaw, along with the author Brandon Sanderson, the completion and publication of the final entries in the Wheel of Time series: The Gathering Storm, Towers of Midnight, and A Memory of Light. She also worked extensively on the The Wheel of Time Companion based on The Wheel of Time series.

Harriet provided a reading of the "Wind" sequence from A Memory of Light at the Charleston book signing event on 01/12/2013.
