She is the much younger sister, or more likely the niece, of Cabriana Mecandes, an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. At some point, his branch of the family relocated from Tear to Cairhien.
Lady Holleen is the head of the largest Darkfriend cell in Cairhien.[1]
