House Novares is one of the known Noble Houses of Tear.
The only known member of the house is Lord Istaban Novares, who was a nobleman of the province of Tear during the days of Artur Hawkwing's Empire. After the High King's death in FY 994, Lord Istaban formed an alliance with Lady Yseidre Tirado and seized control of the city and the surrounding countryside. With neither being powerful enough to become king or queen of the nation, they formed a ruling council, which developed into the High Nobility of Tear during the War of the Hundred Years.
As House Novares has not been mentioned in the events around 998 NE, it may be extinct.
