Ileande was a kingdom of the Free Years. It was founded after the end of the Trolloc Wars, and was established on the former territory of Almoren. It was later absorbed by the growing might of Artur Hawkwing's Empire. The lands it once held are currently partially controlled by Cairhien but are now mostly wilderness, though were part of the nation of Hardan until 700 NE.

Ileande once stretched from the River Erinin to the River Gaelin, and was located on either side of the western half of Kinslayer's Dagger. Its neighbors were Hamarea to the east, Tova to the south, Tar Valon to the west, and Rhamdashar to the north.

History[]

Little is known of Ileande, save that it sent troops to reinforce Tova's invasion of Shandalle in the spring of FY 944, as part of the attempt to destroy Artur Hawkwing's growing power. It was conquered in turn by Artur Hawkwing and made part of his empire. During the War of the Hundred Years Ileande's territory was divided between Cairhien and Hardan, but after Hardan's collapse mostly fell into ruin.
