Inverting

Inverting is a means of hiding weaves of the One Power. An inverted weave is manipulated such that only the channeler that wove it can detect it.

It is first seen taught by Asmodean to Rand al'Thor, when he goes back to the Stone of Tear and inverts his weaves around Callandor.

Moghedien, while trapped and collared by the a'dam, teaches Elayne and Nynaeve how to invert their weaves. They teach Egwene who in turn teaches the rest of the Aes Sedai in Salidar. Cadsuane had learned inversion sometime before the Battle near Shadar Logoth.

The act of inverting a weave is referred to as "reversing" by various Forsaken.
