Iselle Arrel was the young daughter of Edeyn Arrel.
Appearance[]
She was tall and full mouthed with long black hair that fell below her hips.
History[]
She claimed she could channel the One Power, for she had been tested by an Aes Sedai. She also stated that the Aes Sedai said she had a strong potential. This strikes as untruth; had she truly been tested, she would likely have been dragged off to the Tower the very same day. However, given the strained relations between the remaining noble families of fallen Malkier and Tar Valon's lack of aid during the demise, it is entirely understandalble that the Tower would not risk the ire of the entire Borderlands for the sake of one arrogant novice. So while it is possible Iselle was lying about being tested, no one, including Moiraine, doubted her word, and her excuse that her mother prevented her going to the Tower also seems credible.
Activities[]
Edeyn planned to have her marry Lan Mandragoran so Iselle could one day be Queen of Malkier. Iselle didn't want this for herself as she knew her mother was already Lan's carneira; instead she wanted to go to the White Tower with Moiraine Damodred and Siuan Sanche. Once there she intended to quickly become an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, no doubt with a handful of handsome warders. After she watched Merean Redhill kill Brys and Diryk, she was killed by Merean.
