Jala Bandevin is an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah.[1]
Appearance and Personality[]
She is around five feet tall.[1] Moiraine, at 5'2" (157 cm), is "nearly a hand taller".[2]
Despite her stature, she is imposing.[2]
The ending of her surname suggests a Cairhienin origin.
History[]
Due to her already having gray hair at the time of the Aiel War, she likely to have been born before 780 NE.
At this time, she had two Warders, one was a round-faced man playing a stately melody on a flute, the other a pale-haired young man no more than twenty. It is unknown if those Warders are still alive by 998 NE.
Activities[]
She is seen by Moiraine Damodred while she was an Accepted, teaching her new Warder how to court dance.[2]
She remained loyal to the White Tower during the split.
Jala was one of the Aes Sedai involved in capturing Egwene at Southharbor, along with Barasine, Merym, Berisha Terakuni, and Felaana Bevaine. Jala and Merym galloped back to the Tower when they discovered who they have caught.[3]
