Larelle Tarsi is an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah.[1]
Appearance[]
She had long dark hair with white wings and copper skin. She had thin eyebrows. She is elegant.[2]
Strength[]
Larelle had a strength in the One Power of 14(2), making her very strong for an Aes Sedai. At the time of New Spring, she is stronger in the One Power than Moiraine Damodred, although Moiraine would eventually be stronger once she reached her full strength.
History[]
She was born in Arad Doman in 732 NE.[1]
She taught Moiraine in several classes, both as novice and Accepted and had a way of asking the question you least wanted to hear. Her pupils were torn between being intimidated by her and wanting to be her. Every girl in her classes thought her the perfect sister. She had a way of asking the last question you wanted to hear.[2][1]
Activities[]
While Moiraine Damodred is out searching for the Dragon Reborn she meets up with Larelle in Kandor.
When Felaana Bevaine suggests that the newly raised Moiraine be taken in as a novice, unaware that she has already passed the test for Aes Sedai, Larelle says that their rules are not meant to be broken and that she has a feeling that Moiraine doesn't want to be a novice. This is a demonstration of her avoiding the First Oath as Larelle is perfectly aware of who Moiraine is.
Larelle is told to look after Moiraine by Cadsuane Melaidhrin until Moiraine has bonded a Warder. She was intending to head in the same direction as Moiraine and go to Chachin but Moiraine was told by Merean Redhill that she went south.
Her fate[]
Larelle was one of Tamra's searchers for the infant Dragon Reborn, though neither Moiraine nor Siuan knew this until too late to save her. She was killed in Kandor in 979 NE by Merean shortly after Moiraine and Siuan left Canluum. Larelle was 247 years old when she died.[1]
