Lian is slender and beautiful, with yellow hair graying slightly at the temples, and gray eyes. She appears older than her sister-wife Amys since Amys can channel.

She greets Rhuarc, Heirn and Rand when they arrive at Cold Rocks Hold from Rhuidean. When Couladin acts as a clan chief, she responds as if he is a beggar.[3]
