Lopar are an exotic species from Seanchan. They resemble large hairless bears with thick, reddish-brown skin instead of fur and no muzzles. They are generally kept as pets or guard animals - High Lady Suroth keeps a lopar named Almandaragal as a pet. Lopar are enormous creatures, standing almost ten feet tall and weighing over two thousand pounds. They can also be dangerous as they have sharp teeth and retractable claws.
