Makzim is a Warder leading the training of new warder students within the Reunited White Tower.[1]

He currently supervises all combat training sessions within the White Tower.[2] Gawyn approached Makzin to discuss the future of Younglings who wished to become soldiers rather than warders bonded to new Aes Sedai sisters.

- Makzim is named for Maksim Zhukov, a fan of The Wheel of Time[3]
- In the television series, there is a character named Maksim
portrayed by Taylor Napier . However, the character is based on Owein, who was renamed to avoid confusion with Owyn.
