She has remained loyal to the White Tower during the split.
During the Seanchan attack on the White Tower, Marthera stands with Josaine and Adelorna Bastine to fight the invaders. The group is defeated within minutes (Josaine dies and Adelorna is forced to flee) and Marthera is taken captive by the Seanchan and gets an a'dam placed around her neck.
