The Maule is the port district of the city of Tear. It is a very rough area of the city. The streets of the Maule are dirt, and when it rains, they turn to mud. Because of this, denizens of this district either go barefoot, or use wooden platforms strapped to their shoes. Siuan Sanche grew up in the Maule and Ailhuin Guenna owns a house and herb shop there.[1][2]
