Meilyn Arganya was an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah. She had one Warder named Andro.

Appearance

She was a tall woman with silver-gray hair, a thrusting chin, a smooth face, and "startling" blue eyes.

Abilities

She was exceptionally strong in the One Power by Aes Sedai standards, with a strength of 10(+3). Except for Cadsuane Melaidhrin, she was the strongest channeler the White Tower had seen in six hundred years.

History

Arganya was born in 698 NE. Due to her name, she was most from Ghealdan (see Gerard Arganda).

She went to the White Tower in 714 NE at the age of 16. She spent 7 years as a novice and 6 as Accepted.She was raised to the shawl in 727 NE at the age of 29. In this respect she mirrors Aisha Raveneos, as they were born in the same year, went to the Tower in the same year, spent the same number of years as novice and accepted, and were raised to the shawl in the same year, both were also among the strongest of sisters when raised.

A highly respected Aes Sedai, she was also one of the oldest Aes Sedai during the Aiel War. She visited Siuan Sanche and Moiraine Damodred when they are taking babies' names just after the end of the Aiel War. She was one of Tamra Ospenya's Searchers sent out by the Amyrlin after Gitara Moroso's Foretelling to find the child who would become the Dragon Reborn(in this respect she also mirrors Aisha Raveneos).

She was murdered by the Black Ajah during a return to the Tower some time after Tamra's death. She was supposed to have died while asleep in her bed, but Siuan Sanche was hiding under her bed that night and discovered that Meilyn never came to her quarters. Her death was announced by Chesmal Emry, later revealed to be Black. She was the last of the Searchers to die, leaving only Moiraine Damodred and Siuan Sanche to search for the child.
