Sedore Dajenna was an Aes Sedai and a loyalist Sitter of the Yellow Ajah. She was also secretly part of the Black Ajah.
Appearance and Personality[]
She was plump and had a round face with dark eyes and long dark hair. In Elaida’s opinion, she was one of the most arrogant of all among the sisters.[verify]
Strength amd Abilities[]
Sedore is of high average strength in the One Power, with a strength level of 19(7). She matches the stated minimum strength needed to be able to make a gateway of useful size. Barring some below average ability with the Talent, she should be able to Travel.
History[]
When Sedore died, she was 187 years old. Born in Tear in 813 NE, Sedore went to the White Tower in 829 NE. After spending nine years as a novice and seven years as Accepted, she was raised to the shawl in 845 NE.
She was elected Sitter in 961 NE and is a high-ranking sister. By the time of the series, this would have made her one of the most senior Sitters in terms of continuous tenure, second only to Saerin Asnobar.
Activities[]
She stood to depose Siuan Sanche. During the White Tower Schism, she remained loyal to the White Tower. Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan gave her a penance of Mortification of the Spirit.
She was one of the Sitters meeting with Elaida when Alviarin Freidhen returned to the White Tower. Elaida made her nervous, and so did mention of forkroot.
A list of Black Ajah members given to Egwene al'Vere by Verin Mathwin confirmed that Sedore was a Darkfriend, but she managed to escape the Tower. In fact, she was a member of the Black Ajah Supreme Council, and was one of only three women who knew Alviarin's identity as Black Ajah head. The others were Galina (Alviarin's second) and Velina. (Note: The Wheel of Time Companion has conflicting entries on this; Velina's entry says that Sedore knew Alviarin's identity, but Sedore's own entry states otherwise).
During the Battle in Tel'aran'rhiod, Egwene killed Sedore with a manifestation of Fire, not created with the One Power. [1]
If she was in her own body while killed in Tel'aran'rhiod, which Darkfriends tend to do, her soul would be obliterated. Very likely, she was using one of the dream ter'angreal stolen by Sheriam Bayanar and given to Mesaana, which would not have brought her there in the flesh.
