Captain Assid Bakuun laments the fact that the damane are ill and therefore unable to produce Sky Lights. He thinks that fireworks are a pitiful thing compared to Sky Lights.[1] Matrim Cauthon tells Aludra that damane can make Sky Lights and that they make fireworks "look like a few sparks flying up the chimney." Aludra has not seen them and continues to create fireworks.[2]
