The Sun Palace, also known as the Palace of the Rising Sun in Splendor, is the royal palace of Cairhien, and the residence of the Cairhienin royal family. It is also the location of the Sun Throne of Cairhien.

Perfectly centered in the center of the city of Cairhien, the Sun palace's outer walls form a perfect square of dark coloring. There are many colonnaded walkways around the palace and its windows are tall and narrow creating a feeling of rigidity. There are several gray stepped towers around the palace also designed in perfect squares. The main enterance of the palace is up a long broad ramp, past tall bronze gates, and a square courtyard. [1]
