13 months equals a year?[]
If you do the math, 13X28 = 336, more than a month short of 365. What am I missing?Pedantic 13:45, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
- (Gulp) Aw dang! I used the busted calculator again!(sheepish grin) Good Gracie's garters I can make some dumb ones, can't I!
- Actually, I checked TWORJWOT and it actually provided a way out if my calculations had been correct, but now that they aren't...well the Julian calendar didn't account for the perfect movement of the sun so why should this one be expected to? TWORJWOT says that "Several major feastdays celebrated in every nation...are not part of any month (Chapter 31: Holidays and The Calendar). It then proceeds to list in excess of 20 feast days (some of them multiple days) that are celebrated throughout Randland, though whether they all are considered to be "not part of a month" is not made clear. Not sure what to do with that information considering the corrected calculations. Though I will add a citation to cover the measurement of time (just a footnote, no more), the rest I will just let lay. The information in chapter 31 is just too vague to be able to do anything with, aside from the basic stuff covered on this page, which is quite specific. Sorry for the trouble.Pedantic 22:50, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
