I don't think WotC endorses this anymore[]

If anyone has ever gone to WotC's website, they list all of their franchises on the homepage of the website. This game isn't listed there, which leads me to believe that the game is no longer in print.

Correct. The game was announced as being discontinued in 2002. Apparently WotC wanted to publish an elaborate number of guidebooks and expansions to the series, but Robert Jordan didn't have the time to approve everything (despite giving his approval, he later complained about non-canon elements in the game which had escaped his notice). WotC also proved surprisingly lukewarm in marketing the game, and even today many WoT fans remain unaware of its existence. This is probably because the game emerged at the same time that WotC were concentrating on their own products, such as the 3rd Edition Forgotten Realms campaign setting that they launched at the same time this came out. As a result, it was decided not to publish any more material for the game and the RPG rights reverted to Jordan about two years later.--Werthead 14:40, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Citation[]

Couldn't you just cite the books themselves as sources?

Absolutely. Assuming we are following Wikipedia's guidelines, the books themselves are viable sources.--Werthead 14:40, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Wheel of Time Roleplaying Game homepage[]

I've just found out about this RPG (on The Piazza forums) and have been hunting around for Wheel of Time RPG information. I found a (mostly) working copy of The Wheel of Time Roleplaying Game website on the Wayback Machine. (It took me ages to find it, as most of the copies on The Wayback Machine redirect to a Wizards of the Coast page that says the content has been removed.)

I figure this page would also be useful to your research.

More of The Wheel of Time! is not working on the archived version of the official The Wheel of Time website, but I've got someone on The Piazza who thinks they might have a copy. David Shepheard 12:34, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

I've got a copy of it myself. Here you go. Nothing special in it though really. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 14:58, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Jaymach. When I've got time, I'll see if I can find a WoT RPG fan who can put this up on their website (where other fans who buy second hand copies of the RPG can find it). David "Big Mac" Shepheard (talk) 10:26, October 31, 2010 (UTC)
