Queen's Guards or Queen's Guard?

If you look in the back of TOM in the glossary, it lists the entry as "Queen's Guards" then promptly follows with a description using Queen's Guard twice as often as Queens Guards. It is rare to see an organization call itself XYZ Guards, but not impossible (Think of National Guard, here in the US as an example).

I've actually looked in TOM for usage in the prose and cannot find any, but if I could see how RJ or BrS uses it, that would go a long way to resolving how this title should be stated, IMHO.Pedantic 00:21, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

It is actually used both ways in the novels, with Queen's Guards about twice as more used as Queen's Guard. I think this is a rare instance when you can use either one to fit into what you're writing and not have to fit your writing around the title. ---- Willie - HtS 02:39, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
