The Tarasin Palace is located in the center of Ebou Dar, the nominal capital of Altara.[1] It faces the Mol Hara square and is the governing building of the Altaran monarchy.
The ruler of the throne in 998 NE was Queen Tylin Quintara of House Mitsobar, who was murdered by a gholam. She was succeeded by her son Beslan, who accepted Seanchan authority as the foreign armies conquered Ebou Dar.
