The City of Tear is the capital of the nation of the same name.
Description[]
Tear is considered the greatest port city upon the Sea of Storms, located above the mouth of the River Erinin and guarded by the Stone of Tear.[1] It is large as Caemlyn and Tar Valon, but not considered as beautiful as either.[2]
There was once an Ogier grove outside Tear, but now it is empty pasture.[1]
History[]
Tear is one of the oldest cities in the world. The Stone of Tear was built very shortly after the Breaking of the World, and never fell to invaders in millennia until the coming of the Dragon Reborn.
During the Compact of the Ten Nations, Tear was part of the nation of Essenia. After the Trolloc Wars, it was part of Moreina.
