Summary

Point of view: Cadsuane Melaidhrin

Daigian Moseneillin is dead and Corele Hovian and Nesune Bihara injured after Semirhage escaped. Rand killed Semirhage after she tried to control him and now Cadsuane is trying to sort out what happened. Cadsuane demands that Rand tell her what happen but he only replies that the danger has been dealt with. He then shows Jahar Narishma the weave for Balefire, destroying his coat in the process with instructions to use it on any Forsaken he encounters since that is the only way to keep them from returning. Cadsuane berates Rand for using the forbidden weave, but he doesn't care. Rand shows her the remnants of the Domination Band which she thought was impossible to retrieve from where she had it hidden. She wonders what has happened to the Access key that was also in the box. Rand then exiles Cadsuane from his sight, promising to kill her the next time he sees her face. She notes a darkness emanating from Rand and now she has no way to aid him from turning to darkness.
