Setting: Tel'aran'rhiod, White Tower in Tar Valon

Summary[]

Point of view: Egwene al'Vere

During a regular meeting in Tel'aran'rhiod Siuan Sanche asks Egwene to give up her plan to undermine Elaida from within the White Tower. She then informs her that Gawyn Trakand has arrived in the rebel Aes Sedai camp. After the meeting Egwene visits the Rebel Aes Sedai camp for a while to avoid returning to sleep or worse to waking in her cramped cell.

On the next day after waking up Egwene is released from her cell by order from Elaida a'Roihan to resume her punishment as a Novice under the new Mistress of Novices Katerine Alruddin. On the way to the novice quarters and shielded by two red sisters Saerin Asnobar reports to Egwene that Silviana Brehon demanded Egwenes release in the Hall and was declared to be stilled and executed by Elaida. Egwene orders Saerin back to the Hall to do what she can to stop this. Then she sends Marsial to fetch forkroot tea so the two red sisters do not have to maintain the shield but can help convincing their Ajah that executing Silviana would collapse their Ajah. After Egwene receives and drinks the tea she enters her room alone where Verin Mathwin is already waiting for her. Verin intentionally makes an obviously false comment, violating the first oath and immediately compelling Egwene's attention.
