About me

Enough about me! Let's talk about the Wheel of Time!

Projects

I've been working on converting all of the chapter icons into .svg files. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I try to make them very precise. In fact, in a few cases, I've even 'improved' them over the original! Note that these are intentional differences from the original icons, not differences from the .png versions stored on this site, all of which have lost detail due to lack of resolution. There are also some differences due to my own limitations.

Since I want these wonderful images to get lots of coverage, I made sure that every chapter had a page created for it. At first I was just concerned that each chapter page had the chapter art posted on it. But then I went back and put in the POVs for each chapter. In the future I may work on populating certain pages with the appropriate icons (see Rand al'Thor, for example).

If you see any problems with any of the .svg icons or see a way that they could be improved, don't hesitate to suggest them on my talk page. Please also feel free to suggest other 'fake' icons, like the Tairen icon (I don't guarantee that my skills will match your imagination, though).

I've also created images of the symbols on the portal stones (at least those that have been described in the books):
