Servant of All

  • I live in a secluded Stedding
  • My occupation is Historian
  • I am Male

Greetings and welcome to my talk page. As an Aes Sedai from an earlier age I often find this modern wiki world more satisfying when editors interact frequently. So please feel absolutely free to write on my talk page. I'm open to all feedback and discussion about pages, edits, or anything else you think is worth talking about. We're all here to enrich this wiki and promote a highly interactive environment!

Until then I shall return to my work. The Ogier of this age have been kind enough to allow me to labor on this wiki from a Stedding to shield me from Saidin. Just don't ask how they manage to get me on the internet....

I have been looking at the pages you have been editing. Let me thank you for adding the info and expanding those stubs. It really does help!
Keep up the great work! ---- Willie - HtS 13:39, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

Awsome! I'll look it over.Servant of All 17:03, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Joe here explains the citations templates pretty good. Just make sure that the citation goes outside of any punctuation and you don't forget the notes template at the bottom of the page. Also, thanks very much for creating and expanding articles here! ---- Willie - HtS 21:57, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure if it was you who posted a comment for me, since you (or whoever did) didn't sign the post! If it wasn't you, ahm, then just "hi," nice to see your name on random page edits. :)

If it was you, thanks for the compliment, I like that little Taren Ferry saying, too! I also like Egwene's response to Rand quoting it, something to the effect of, take your cat and hat and shove it! Well, more like "You put your cat in your hat and stuff it down your breeches."

Happy wiki-ing! Warmly, Sabrina Seebster 02:35, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Concerning sarcasm

Hi there! A sister of the Blue here. Apologies if I made the article sound sarcastic, that was certainly not my intention. In my eyes it fitted in quite well, but then again, English is not my first language, hence possible misunderstandings.

Glad to have you on the board!

Hello. I saw that you added all of those items to the "Items of Power" category. I don't know if you knew this, but the angreal, sa'angreal, and ter'angreal categories are all subcategorized under the Items of Power category. So adding that to all of those seems redundant. Please let me know what you think. Thanks! ---- Willie - HtS 23:19, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

Hello again. A lot of the categories for characters are controlled by the {{Character}} template. Several different parameters can be set by that template and a good number of them add the page to categories. As for Graendal, the reason she is listed as both dead and alive is because Graendal is dead, but Hessalam is still alive. Right now, all of the Forsaken that have been reincarnated have two different character templates on them. Another example would be Balthamel who has both the male and female categories.

I also wanted to go back to Items of Power category for a minute. I know what you said about them all being items of Power, and should be identified as such. However, when you look at the Items of Power category, you see all of it and then you go into any of the Angreal, Sa'angreal, and Ter'angreal categories. There, you see many of the same things. To me, it seems redundant to have a page in one category as well as in one of its sub-categories. Let me know what you think. Also, let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks! ---- Willie - HtS 05:01, March 12, 2014 (UTC)

I've created a new template. Just use the abbreviation "twotc" in the reference template. We can also put the name of the entry form the companion in the reference as well: {{ref|{{twotc}}, Subject}}. Let me know if you have any questions. ---- Willie - HtS 16:21, November 9, 2015 (UTC)

All the channelers articles in this Wikia have a paragraph describing their strength and abilities, and another one about their appearance. Why in some of the articles have you decided to merge this descriptions? I don't want to say it is absolutely wrong, but I would like some explanation about this decision---kay- (talk) 13:10, February 2, 2018 (UTC)

Kay - I provided a response to you on your talk page. Servant of All (talk) 05:38, February 3, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for your explanation---kay- (talk) 14:02, February 4, 2018 (UTC)

Deleting pictures

exchange as you wish the main picture of a character, but please don't delete others pictures following your taste. It seems that you are targeting a particular kind of pictures, despite they are made with a graphic limited program, they are far more accurate respecting the details given in the Wot books, than many pics that "artistically" could be considered better and find our taste---kay- (talk) 16:45, March 16, 2018 (UTC)

Kay - I have responded to you on your talk page.  Servant of All (talk) 04:01, March 17, 2018 (UTC)

1) I am not the person who realized this kind of pictures, I am only the one who is keeping them here, as many other fan pictures are maintained here 2) I don't understand why this kind of pictures are so targeted by some of the contributors, while other fan pics like this Nynaeve_al%27Meara.JPG

are considered acceptable, that for me are quite awful, but still I don't delete systematically all of them only because of my taste---kay- (talk) 17:49, March 17, 2018 (UTC)

3) consider also that in many cases this kind of pictures are the only (or the few) available about minor characters, so we have to be grateful if someone else has spent his time to produce them, instead to despise him ---kay- (talk) 17:54, March 17, 2018 (UTC)

Nynaeve Picture Example

Kay - the picture you supplied as an example of an "awful" picture is in fact an official image that comes from the The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time and was drawn by Todd Cameron Hamilton. The fact that you do not know this is disappointing and indicates that you are either not paying attention to canon source material or you are ignorant that these things even exist. I'm not a fan of the images from that book either, but it is OFFICIAL which gives it all the weight it needs to be on the page.

I already explained to you that the repetitive stock images do not add value. I'm not going to pursue this pedantic conversation further. You've been told this by other contributors and I'm sure its going to come up again with someone else who joins the community and sees the same thing.Servant of All (talk) 19:10, March 17, 2018 (UTC)

Communication attempt

Hi Servant of All,

I'd gladly chat with you provided you have time for me. Most probably you have already checked that I've been quite active recently.  I'd like to avoid hurting other fan's feelings or ruin something with my attempt to make it more accurate or better fitting to my standards. I'll be online and logged in in the next 2 hours, waiting.

Kind regards,

Hey, it has been some time since you have been on here. That fill in on Wit looks awesome. I'm doing my best to finish the series so help is always welcome--GuanYu79 (talk) 07:57, February 27, 2019 (UTC)

Nice picture added. I can’t stand any more rubbish art that is being deposited on so many pages. Art that is visually stunning is always welcome. I hate all that art by that Hamilton guy eg one of the pieces of Demandred below his character profile even though he is an official wot artist. If I could be bothered I would delete them all--GuanYu79 (talk) 06:53, February 28, 2019 (UTC)

Source of artwork

I've seen that this picture was uploaded by you.

By any chance could you name the artist?
